Our selection of about 200 different wines is constantly changing the selection in response to our customers’ tastes. The selection is large enough that we can provide the right wine for any occasion and small enough for us to be personally familiar with each wine and able to make informed recommendations. We specialize in unique wines from smaller vineyards, some bottling less than 500 cases per vintage. It may come as a pleasant surprise that these high quality wines do not have to be expensive! There are many wine makers who strive to create and offer great wines at reasonable prices. At grape and company we have wines for any occasion from a special event to a Wednesday night at home. New! Clos Marguerite Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand
If you like New zealand sauvignon blancs, you'll love this one!Made from grapes grown on a single 10-hectare in the Awatere Valley in the Marlborough district. The wine makers are a couple who honed their winemaking skills in France and chose New Zealand as the place to start their own winery.
The wine is definitely a product of the gravel soils on terraces above the Awatere River. It has a moderate amount of the grapefruit and melon, typical of New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, that is offset by a subtle minerality. The mid-palate also has a soft underlying creamy flavor and texture that lead to firm acidic finish. Message from Jack
