grape and company is the ideal place for oenophiles and foodies to work so it's no surprise that's who is on our staff. 

Leah, Susan, Richard and Celia work hard to provide excellent service each and every time you are in the store. 

They also take on the burden of personally tasting as many of our offerings as possible.  Needless to say, they love their jobs.

We founded grape and company in November 2004 in response to a growing interest in and demand for European-style foods in Madison. 

We seek out high quality, unique foods, such as limited production olive oils from Umbria and balsamic vinegars from Modena, as well as delicious dips and tapenades from Wisconsin.  And, we also make a variety of special foods to eat in the shop or take home, such as handmade mozzarella (the only source in Wisconsin), authentic pizza margarita and lasagna, as well as sandwiches and meat/cheese platters.

Our wine selection criteria are similar to those we use for foods: wines from smaller producers that have interesting stories to tell and provide good quality at a fair price.  Free Friday night Wine and Cheese Tastings are an excellent way to learn about wines, and have become a popular social event as well.

We like to provide our customers with as many ideas as possible in the form of recipes, demonstrations, classes, and different food & wine samples each time they are in the shop.  We hope that the shop offers an interactive and fun experience each and every time you stop in.
